Silver Medal for StereoScan neo
AICON 3D Systems comes second at Industriepreis 201603 February 2016
The white light scanner StereoScan neo was awarded the second price of the “Industriepreis 2016”, tendered by Huber Verlag für Neue Medien. The 3D scanner won out over various competitors in the “Optical Technologies” category. The industry award has been honoring particularly progressive industrial companies and their innovative Products for eleven years in a row.
The StereoScan neo is equipped with adaptive full color projection technique with color and intensity control. This allows for fast and precise capture of complex structures, independent of the surface. The color back projection visualizes the measurement results on the object surface after the measurement. Corrections on the object can be made promptly. Even deviations in the context of inspection tasks can be made visible and rectified right away. This technology provides the user with simplified possibilities during workflow, e.g. in the tooling and molding industry or in model making, Equipped as 8 or 16 megapixel digital camera versions, the StereoScan neo provides the best arrangement required for the maximum degree of detail for the object acquisition process.
An independent jury of professors, scientists, industry experts and specialized journalists evaluates all submissions. Special attention is paid to progressiveness as well as the ecological, social, economic and technological benefit of the submitted industry solution. Altogether, the industry award included 14 categories this year.
